The Cap Des Rosier Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in Canada. For a prairie guy with no clue about tides coming in, this could have been my last image taken…ever! I climbed down the cliff and started to wonder along the sea shore for the best location to capture a night time image. No problems at this point as the tide was “out”. However, a few hours later, I noticed that the area I was standing in was no longer dry – the tide was coming in.. I hurriedly packed up the camera, backpack, and tripod and high tailed in through the incoming water in order to climb up to higher, much safer ground.
